BMS - Fire Alarm & Smoke Detection Systems Interface - Projects
RSH are specialists in fire alarm and smoke detection systems. We can Interface fire alarms with the sniffer system of the Vesta very early smoke detection apparatus.
In a flour mill in Tilbury. We interfaced this system with the BMS (Building management System) in the plant. This work involved installing smoke vents / extracts, escalator shut down and lift recall. This complex system manages the building in a fire condition.
In a related project we also installed a hardwired failsafe for the BMS interface in Bromley Leisure Centre.
Shopping Centre Electrical Installations
Bluewater Shopping Centre, Phases 1 & 2.
At the Blue Water shopping centre, Dartford, Kent we have been involved in two phases of a £10m project. This has involved:
- Installing the nurse call systems to communicate back to central data control.
- Updating the PA system for general announcements and voice evacuation.
- Upgrading the network controlled lighting using specially designed bespoke light fittings.
- Installing designer blue LED lighting
- Installation of the cabling and data to plasma TV screens, fed via a server, for the shopping centre advertising campaigns.
- Fitting additional electrical circuits from local distribution.
Bromley Shopping Centre
The electrical contract for Bromley Shopping Centre required RSH Electrical to:
- Fit de-centralised fire alarm system using network nodes.
- Fit and commission the electrical network using twin twisted pyro to reduce capacitance.
- Design and install using Apollo protocol on all mechanical interfaces.
- Complete a phased handover.
Hamroe Retirement Home. Thundersley
In this electrical fit out of a new build home for elderly we installed the distribution mains to each of 4 blocks. We also fitted out special needs areas with hoists. This contract also included:
- Design and installation of the fire alarm system.
- Design and installation of the emergency lighting.
- Installation of the balance lighting and power distribution.
BT Training Centre, Milton Keynes
At the BT Training Centre in Milton Keynes, RSH Electrical:
- Fitted fire alarm to two main buildings each 4 floors.
- Linked buildings to central control point for monitoring.
- Interfaced with plant/building management systems.
- Tested and undertook a controlled handover of the system over to the client.
NHS Trust London SW 1 TO SW 10
In this project RSH Electrical completed electrical refurbishment and maintenance works to over 30 clinics throughout South West London. The requirements included:
- Upgrading lighting and power to a high specification.
- Fitting fire alarms to BS 5839.
- Installing emergency lighting to BS 5266.
- Installing video access control using latest colour cctv.
Air Conditioning Installation, Car Showroom
We have installed a new air conditioning unit in the Lookers Land Rover showroom in Chelmsford. We also undertake electrical maintenance for Lookers in their Essex showrooms.
Cat 5 & Cat 6 Data Cabling
RSH Electrical can install Cat 5 and Cat 6 data cabling systems for offices, colleges and universities. In a typical project, we would have a 10 way hub, feeding out through a server and we would cable out to each terminal for the network. When cable is installed we run the network up and our IT specialist will configure the computers and provide 24 hour support for the network.
